Fast & Furious 8, nel cast anche il figlio di Clint Eastwood

È stata ufficializzata la partecipazione di Scott Eastwood, figlio di Clint, a Fast & Furious 8, prossimo capitolo della fortunata saga la cui uscita è prevista per il 14 aprile 2017.

Eastwood, 30 anni compiuti lo scorso marzo, costituirà la new-entry del franchise, insieme a Charlize Theron, che impersonerà la villain del film. Le duee nuove aggiunte affiancheranno le colonne dell’universo Fast & Furious: Vin Diesel, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson (che vedremo anche nell’adattamento cinematografico di Baywatch), Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson e Jason Statham, apparso in F&F 7. La regia è affidata allo specialista del genere F. Gary Gray.

La conferma dell’ingresso di Eastwood (all’anagrafe Scott Clinton Reeves) nel cast di Furious 8 è stata data proprio dall’attore statunitense sul proprio profilo Instagram.

It’s hard to put into words how excited I am for the next Fast & Furious. To me, the series is so much more than just a franchise. It’s a legacy. These great actors who have been in it together for so long have become a family. I absolutely can’t wait to join it. Now I can’t say too much, but I get to play a new character who operates under Kurt Russell in the movie, which is incredible, because Kurt was a total childhood hero of mine growing up. Very much looking forward to learning a thing or two from such an original and cool guy. Paul was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me. Il giovane Eastwood sta attraversando una fase cruciale della propria carriera: lanciato da papà Clint nel 2006 in Flags of our fathers, nel 2014 si è fatto notare per un altro war-movie, Fury, a fianco di Brad Pitt e Shia LaBeouf. Quest’anno lo vedremo sul grande schermo anche nell’attesissimo cinecomic Suicide Squad e in Snowden, di Oliver Stone.
