Immaginate di essere al vostro matrimonio e all’improvviso, nel bel mezzo del ricevimento, si apre il sipario e vi trovate di fronte i Maroon 5. Questo è quello che è successo alle poche coppie fortunate, fan della band, che giorno 6 Dicembre ha fatto il giro dei party di nozze a Los Angeles sorprendendo tutti, neo sposini ed invitati. Il motivo di questo “tour”? Le riprese del video del nuovo singolo della band ‘Sugar’.
Il video che accompagna ‘Sugar’ mostra i Maroon 5 esibirsi a sorpresa ai matrimoni dei loro fan. Diverse le reazioni delle coppie: alcuni sono rimasti increduli di fronte alla comparsa del gruppo, altri, invece si sono riversati subito sulla pista da ballo. Per il video i Maroon 5 hanno scelto David Dobkin, regista di ‘Wedding Crashers’ (‘2 single a nozze’ per intenderci).
Adam Levine, frontman dei Maroon 5, ha così raccontato l’esperienza: “Abbiamo girato in auto per tutta Los Angeles raggiungendo ogni matrimonio possibile: è stata come un’esperienza extra-corporea. Non avevo idea che sarei rimasto influenzato dalle reazioni travolgenti che abbiamo ricevuto dalle coppie e dagli ospiti. Essere in grado di creare un’esperienza indimenticabile per molte persone è stato il momento clou”.
Un rappresentante del gruppo ha dichiarato al magazine ET che tutto ciò è stato realizzato grazie alla collaborazione dei futuri mariti che hanno tenuto nascosto la sorpresa affinché tutto ciò potesse essere realizzato.
‘Sugar’ è il terzo singolo estratto dall’album ‘V’ che ha raggiunto il primo posto nella classifica statunitense Billboard 200 la scorsa estate. Dato il successo del quinto lavoro dei Maroon 5, è stata pubblicata una versione deluxe con tre brani inediti in più oltre agli 11 originali. Qui di seguito il testo e il video della canzone.
